What Orleans Offers

Our Campus

Operated by JEVS Human Services, a leading non-profit social service agency in the region, Orleans Technical Institute combined its Northeast and Center City campuses into one at 2770 Red Lion Road in Northeast Philadelphia during the summer of 2007. The campus is centrally located in Greater Northeast Philadelphia and in close proximity to Lower Bucks County, Eastern Montgomery County, and right across the bridges from South Jersey. Accreditation, Licensure & Approval

Orleans Technical Institute, a member of the Career College Association (CCA), is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, State Board of Private Licensed Schools, and is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). Orleans' court reporting program is the only school in Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware that is approved by the National Court Reporters Association (NCRA). Orleans Tech programs are approved for veterans' education.

JEVS Human Services was presented with the prestigious 2009 Encore Opportunity Award by Civic Ventures, a national think tank on baby boomers, work and social purpose.This award, sponsored by the MetLife Foundation, honors eight employers nationally in the nonprofit and public sector with effective strategies for engaging experienced adults over 50 in meaningful “second careers.” The award recognizes Orleans Technical Institute, where more than half of the roughly 120 employees are 50-plus. In addition, the school helps the instructional staff, most of whom are former trades people with decades of experience, transfer their skills to the classroom and offer a unique experience to students.

Customized Training for Businesses

Through JEVS Human Services, customized training programs and services are offered in a variety of areas to local companies interested in updating the skills and abilities of their employees. By helping to bridge any technical skills gaps in your organization, we can help you maximize your employees’ potential. With more than three decades of experience in education, we provide qualified instructors, at our training facility or at your site, texts, as well as a customized curriculum to meet employer’s needs.

Our training programs include:
Building Trades: air conditioning, refrigeration and heating; building maintenance; plumbing; carpentry; residential and commercial electricity, and telecommunications skills.
Customer Service Skills: courtesy and communication, identifying and exceeding customer needs and expectations, problem solving, people management, dealing with difficult customers, understanding the cost of losing a customer, and teaching supervisors to coach customer service
